Butterfly is my personal homage to Japonism, which was popular during this period, and its original Japanese art.
The slightly flat finish of the resin is inspired by a two-dimensional depiction of a butterfly.
The pearl paint color is an homage to gold leaf decoration.
The metal of the butterfly saucer part is gold-plated, and the pearl coating resin is slightly transparent, adding a subtle gold sparkle.
